Welcome autumn!!!

Autumn is officially here. The weather has already turned crisp here in Holland and plants are fading all around us. Yet they are being replaced with brightly colored pumpkins and gourds. Berries are appearing on bushes and soon the leaves will start their display. Autumn...my favorite season!

This is a calico wreath that I made 3 years ago. If you would like to give it a try making one of your own, I have a tutorial on my old handwork blog. Just click here and see the step by step photo instructions.

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."

  1. That wreath is so pretty. You did a great job on it.
Fall is here too. I am in a turtle neck and hoodie. I call it a sweatshirt jacket but not anyone else does. LOL
    Love you, Mom

  2. Hi Heidi,
Such a pretty autumn wreath. I was just thinking the other day, how much I need to hang a wreath out on my door. I haven't had one out since Easter! All summer long the door sat unadorned. Looking forward to all the great things about the Fall season.

  4. Very pretty wreath. Autumn is my favorite time of year too. I love the colors and the crispness in the air with the cooler temps. Not too hot and not too cold.

  7. Your wreath is so pretty, Heidi.
Spring used to be my favorite season, but I think autumn is replacing it :). So much beauty to be found and it's nice to be making our homes cozy and warm once again.
Happy Fall to you across the miles.
